Old Men in New Cars: In China They Eat Dogs II (2002) tells the story of Harald, a foster child whose dying wish from his father figure, Monk, is to find his real son, Ludvig. However, Ludvig is currently serving time in a Swedish prison. Determined to fulfill Monk's last wish, Peter and Martin, two chefs, devise a plan to break Ludvig out of prison so he can meet his father.
When Ludvig and Harald finally meet, they quickly establish a strong bond. However, their happiness is short-lived when they discover that their father needs a liver transplant. Together, Ludvig and Harald embark on a mission to raise the funds necessary for the surgery. Their plan takes a detour when their attempt to rob a bank goes awry, but they encounter Mille, who leads them on a new path. Peter and Martin also join forces to help them.
As Ludvig and Harald navigate through a series of chaotic events, they find themselves in trouble with both the police and a dangerous organized crime group. With their lives on the line, they must rely on their resourcefulness and the support of their newfound allies to stay alive.
